Your role

Work you’ll do:

As a Strategy Summer Scholar, you will work at the intersection of corporate, customer, M&A, workforce, and operational strategy.  You will work alongside industry-leading clients to help them make decisions and implement enhancements to their organizations’ strategy, productivity, performance, and long-term profitability.  You will have the opportunity to exercise strong analytical skills, solve complex business problems, and communicate your findings to executive audiences. You will work both independently and collaboratively with a team to analyze and distill information to hypothesize, test, and develop recommendations. Example projects might include…

  • Building a go-to-market strategy and business case to bring a new product to market.
  • Creating and executing an acquisition strategy to access new markets and guide organizations through the acquisition.
  • Conducting a technology assessment and building a new tech strategy to support future business needs.
  • Crafting enterprise and operating model designs and guiding the organizations through the transition.
  • Developing a supply chain operations strategy to improve efficiencies and reduce cost, and
  • Defining a digital/omnichannel customer experience and building a technology implementation roadmap.

Training & development

During this challenging and inspiring learning experience, you’ll gain first-hand insights into technical skills, critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets needed to be effective as a strategy consultant. You’ll work with a wide variety of talented strategic leaders and learn how to develop, implement, and measure innovative strategies, tackle real-world business issues head-on, and experience first-hand the day-to-day challenges and opportunities of this exciting career.  Summer Scholars will also be invited to participate in the Consulting Summer Scholar Internship Conference hosted during the summer at Deloitte University

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Junior standing in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025.
  • Bachelor’s degree in progress in the following or related majors:
    • Business (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Org Behavior)
    • Economics
    • Science
    • Technology
    • Engineering
    • Mathematics
    • Operations & Supply Chain
    • Liberal Arts (e.g., Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.5).
  • Availability to participate full-time for a 10-week internship from June to August 2024
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
