About Capital Markets:

As part of the Investment Bank, the Capital Markets business is a specialist product coverage area that operates as a partner between Corporate Finance industry coverage areas and Fixed Income & Currencies to provide clients with an array of capital raising services. Their clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies, and financial sponsors.

They advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Capital Markets are comprised of four product areas: Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM), and Strategic Equity Transaction Group (SETG).

Division specifics about the intern role:

  • Their interns are allowed to learn about their business from different viewpoints, giving you a career advantage.
  • Working on their day-to-day business as well as on projects, you will contribute to the innovation of new ideas to help their customers achieve their financial goals. You will gain experience in different areas of their business and discover their market-leading solutions first-hand.
  • The Capital Markets internship program is made up of four key business lines: Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM), and the Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG).
  • The desks provide corporate clients advice on raising capital for growth or acquisitions, on refinancing or restructuring outstanding equity or debt, and on hedging certain risks relating to their existing equity, fixed income, and currency positions.
  • While canvassing the entire balance sheet of their clients, the role will focus on the origination and execution of new financing offerings (including Environmental Social Governance (ESG) solutions) and related derivative transactions across an array of products and currencies.
  • This role will require a close partnership with Corporate Finance industry coverage areas and will also see you working closely with a broad range of product partners within the Financial Solutions Group, including the Rates, FX, and Transaction Banking groups.
  • Tasks will include monitoring global markets and analyzing/interpreting relevant data for their clients, preparing industry and product analyses for pitches, or getting involved in the execution of live deals.

Salary & benefits

The annualized salary for this position is $100,000. Posted Salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
