Working Hours at DXC Technology New Zealand

How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My company is very flexible. I can come in at any time as long as I finish my 8 hours, and not miss any important meetings. I usually come in at 9:30 AM and finish at 5:30-6:30 PM, with a lunch break in between. I never feel attacked or pressured or criticized for coming in a few minutes late. I can also leave for a few hours if I have a doctors appointment, or leave a couple of hours early if I have a flight to catch without having to do a process that's anything formal and tedious. As long as I achieve what I have to do during those 8 hours then I'm usually all good. Leave is also easy to acquire and use, in fact we as employees are encouraged to take leave which is amazing.

DXC is very flexible, we can choose to work from home or go into the office. Many colleagues work from home full time. I understand an implementation of office and home balance is being incorporated shortly to prevent this. In the first 6 months of the graduate program, we had to come in to the office everyday which was great for networking and becoming a familiar face in a new environment.

DXC is very flexible when it comes to work hours, it will certainly depend on the team however on how often one should work in the office/work from home.

Although I mainly stick to the 9-5 routine, there are times where I may need to start early or late given the circumstances and DXC are super flexible with the hours you work as long as you put in the time and effort.

As long as you do your work and are online/accessible to others during work days your work hours can be flexible just like whether you work from home or in office.

Its a 9-5 you clock in and clock out, hours are flexible as long as you are online and available to people when they need you and you do the work. Remote working is also great, most of the NZ team is remote so there isn't any issues when you have to work from home.

Throughout DXC there seems to be a common rule that although there is the expectation to work 40 hours, for those who are not billable like myself, your hours are based on the amount of work you have on. There will be times where I work more the 40 hours and there will be times where I work less. If I have personal appointments I have the ability to go. DXC understands people have things that go on outside of work and that sometimes these things need to be attended during work hours. If this is the case I tend to make up the hours elsewhere to ensure all my work is done.
