Tell us about your current role at Kraft Heinz

My role is responsible for defining our category strategies. This involves preparing objective insights and recommendations that can be presented both internally and to our customers. I am in constant communication with marketing, sales and revenue teams and have a mix of short-term and long-term projects so time management and prioritisation skills are a must!

What surprised you when starting at Kraft Heinz as a graduate?

Everyone is so willing to help and you can tell the business really values graduates- graduates get exposure and opportunities even beyond what some of the other employees get to experience. Right from day one I felt listened to and valued within the company.

What opportunities did you get through your career at Kraft Heinz?

There is a huge international focus in the first year at Kraft Heinz where I got to collaborate with peers across the globe on international projects and even spent a week at our London office getting to know all the other international graduates whilst seeing our largest baked beans factory.
I truly believe I've had the exposure that is unmatched by any other graduate program I've heard of- in my graduate year alone, I have presented my work to multiple retailers as well as our ANZ executive leadership team, our International President in the UK and even our CEO!

What is the most challenging thing about working for Kraft Heinz?

Our fast-paced and ever-changing nature really keeps you on your toes! The most challenging thing within the first 6 months might be getting to learn all the company abbreviations- there's a lot at first but they make your life a lot easier as you go!

What advice would you give to current students interested in working for Kraft Heinz?

  • It's a great work culture for graduates - there is an unbelievable amount of support for you.
  • Be bold and be creative.
  • And most importantly be yourself.
