About MECCA Brands

MECCA Brands brings you the BEST in global beauty across three unique beauty concepts: Mecca Cosmetica, MECCA MAXIMA, and MECCA. They have been redefining how Australia and New Zealand shop for beauty for over 20 years – but there’s more to MECCA than cosmetics. More than bronzers and brushes, it’s boldness, bravery, hustle, and whatever-it-takes attitude to which they credit their success. Together, they offer an exclusive edit of over 100 brands, exceptional service, and beauty expertise, each within a unique store environment tailored to how you choose to shop for beauty.

Your role

In this newly created role, you will help support the implementation of effective changes to help improve MECCA’s online presence as well as support in analyzing opportunities and providing meaningful insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders. As SEO Coordinator, you will work closely with the wider eCommerce team from Merchandise and Trading, Content, and Performance to coordinate SEO tasks and provide data-driven trends and insights to assist with content development. You will support the SEO Manager & SEO Specialist to deliver and implement best practice SEO through Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Product Inventory Management systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the web content and merchandise team by implementing recommendations within the CMS
  • Support optimization of landing pages in line with SEO best practices across product and category pages, and article content
  • Manage and optimize GMB listings, including updating listings with changes to store hours and information
  • Support production of content calendars and article briefs for the creation of optimized content in line with search opportunities and seasonal trends
  • Review site search performance and support optimization of on-site search banners, redirects, etc
  • Support paid performance channels as needed
