Recruitment Process

Our Recruitment Process

As part of the application process we will ask you to upload a CV, academic transcript, cover letter, and ask you a few questions to get to know you, your interests and aspirations better.

After we have reviewed your application and you have been successful in moving through to the next round, you may be asked to complete an online technical test. This will allow us to understand where your strengths lie across the various tools, languages and frameworks we use!

Next, you will be invited to an assessment centre. Here you will have the to opportunity to meet with our talented Orionites to learn about what we do and find out about how a graduate opportunity with us could help propel your career to where you want to go.

Finally, you may be invited back to meet with our product teams one-on-one, where you will have the opportunity to speak about the roles in more detail and ask any questions you may have.

And then from there, your future is in your hands.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • Every single person I have come across in this company is friendly, amicable, and always eager to help out. During the graduate program, there were team rotations where I would change teams every 2 months, and even so, every single team I went to did not fail to impress me with how encouraging, open, and friendly they were.
  • The company culture is fantastic. The graduate rotation plan has been an excellent opportunity to learn many different technologies and get to know the components of the business and how they integrate. The support from managers and technical staff is fantastic and there is a great sense of community among like-minded individuals all collaborating.
  • Free car parks in the city and free breakfast in the mornings. The team is extremely nice and helpful with whatever I'm working on.
  • I love the people; everyone has been so welcoming. I enjoy being part of a team that is all super driven and motivated to deliver the best outcomes to our customers.
  • Relaxed and easy-going work environment. Good support and mentorship from more senior team members. Flexible work schedules.
  • As part of the graduate program, there is a rotation system where I experience 3 different teams over the course of 6 months. Although it is definitely beneficial and interesting to experience different teams, being in a team for only 2 months seems quite short. Each time it feels like just as I am about to start getting used to the team and the development process, I have to move to a different team and start over again.
  • The commute is currently the worst part of working at Orion Health, simply because I live quite far away in West Auckland and public transport is barely serviceable. However, the hybrid working arrangement works perfectly well for this!
  • The free bananas keep getting eaten, so I can't have a banana with my breakfast.
  • Parking on site can be a challenge sometimes if you drive a large car. But at least there is on-site parking available.
  • The somewhat long computer setup process.
