Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The culture is a highlight of this firm. Flows of information and the management of people is strong and there is a distinct culture of learning and assisting one another.

I feel like I can be myself at work and have a laugh with colleagues during downtime.

The audit team specifically is a very close team, both in the office and after hours. Everyone gets along with one another quite well, and the environment is quite relaxed (not too relaxed, of course!)
Intern, Melbourne
Everyone is very welcoming and encouraging, outside of work catch ups and events are common.

My team is very cooperative, and helpful.

Every different level works with each other and whilst there is a hierarchy, no one acts more important than anyone. The culture is great, work drinks are very friendly.

The culture is fantastic. I have made friends across all areas of William Buck. Not only a good culture during work but also after hours.

William Buck have created one of the best workplace cultures I have ever worked in. All my colleagues are friendly and approachable - no matter what job level. William Buck have given us lots of opportunities to socialise and build connections.

Lots of activities to part take in, friendly team. After hours staff tend to go out together - accountants, managers and partners.

Structure is both flat and hierarchical. Everyone gets along very well with a lot of the intermediate accountants being around the same age. Great banter even with directors and managers. Culture is the same both in the office and outside of hours. Everyone is willing to help each other when they have free time or there is an opportunity to learn.

In the office the culture between colleagues is supportive, if you have questions you can ask anyone, as everyone is willing to help one another - I think because we all work on the same clients from time to time we all believe in helping one another. After hours, if you are friends with other colleagues you remain in touch via text message or even going out for a drink after work at the end of the week. The structure of the Audit team is good, we have Undergraduates, Graduates, Intermediates, Seniors, Managers, Principals, and Directors. The workplace has a good promotion system, where people are promoted quickly between the different positional levels. Teamwork in Audit is a big thing, as everyone helps one another as we all end up working on the same clients eventually.

Almost everyone is happy and willing to help out whenever I have a question or query. I am given new opportunities frequently whether it would be training a new staff member on something or becoming a direct contact for a larger client for example.

Culture is super close knit inside and outside of work.
